As 2006 draws to a close, and the AGM looms ready to start planning for next season it seems like a good time to reflect. The band aimed to get a couple of Full Band competitions under its belt during 2006 in preparation for 2007. For many competing was a new experience, and visits to Ashbourne and Chatsworth, were very valuable indeed not to mention respectable placings for a first attempt.
Whether its good fortune, or just time for commitment to be rewarded, will never be known, but 2006 has also shown significant recruitment. Since the last bulletin Mark, Patrick, and Mike have joined the band to learn the pipes; Dave has joined to learn the Snare, and Giles rejoins the Pipe Corps now making it 13 pipers!
